Hello Haverhill Families,
As we bring the 2024–2025 school year to a close, I want to take a moment to thank you for your partnership, support, and trust throughout this year. From the first day of school to today, our students have grown, learned, and achieved so much. Whether in the classroom, on the stage, on the field, or in service to others, our students have consistently demonstrated resilience, creativity, and a strong sense of community. This would not be possible without the incredible efforts of our teachers, staff, and—most importantly—you and our community. We are proud of all that has been accomplished and excited about what lies ahead.
A couple of reminders before the school year comes to a close. The District will soon change how YouTube is accessed on our network and student Chromebooks. The challenge with platforms like YouTube is that outside companies manage them, and their privacy policies can change without our control. Unfortunately, YouTube’s privacy policy doesn’t fully align with our student information and privacy regulations. Because of this, we will be limiting student access to YouTube, effective on the last day of school. You can read more about this on our website.
The 2025 Summer Reading List is accessible on our website. Summer offers students more freedom to choose what they read, which can help foster a genuine love for books. Developing this habit outside of the classroom helps build curiosity, imagination, and independent learning skills that last a lifetime. We have worked with the Haverhill Public Library on this list and encourage students to grab a book and read over the summer.
If you are still looking for fun activities for your children over the summer, our Discovery Club/Access 21 Program has FREE summer programs for students in Kindergarten through 12th Grade. You can learn more about these programs and apply on their website. As summer begins, I encourage you to help your child rest, recharge, and stay curious. Whether through reading, exploring the many resources in our City, or simply enjoying time with family and friends, these months are valuable for reflection and renewal. To our graduating seniors and families moving on, congratulations and best wishes on the journey ahead! You will always be part of Hillie Nation, and we are here to cheer on your next endeavors.
We look forward to welcoming everyone else back in the fall, refreshed and ready for another great year of learning and growth.
Have a safe, relaxing, and joyful summer!
